We started Advice Practice Alliance (APA) because, frankly, we'd had enough of the big corporate licensees. After years working under some of the biggest names in financial services, we found ourselves drowning in red tape, office politics and hefty fees. So we thought - why not create something better? Something run by advisers, for advisers, right here in Brisbane.

Meet our team
Prior to licensing and launching the APA, Ross and David worked for several large wealth management firms. They found these firms to be too hierarchical, bureaucratic and expensive, all too often restricting the advice and services that an advisor could provide.

Ross brings over 12 years of financial advice expertise to APA. Passionate about creating a supportive environment for advisers, he co-founded APA in 2023. When he's not assisting clients or advisers with compliance, Ross Is likely planning his next holiday, or hosting a traditional family BBQ.

David's no-nonsense approach to financial advice has been helping Queenslanders for over 20 years. After starting at a major bank, he discovered that adviser independence creates better outcomes for clients. Weekends find David tackling home projects, enjoying family time, or planning his next adventure.
